Aftercare Advice

Following any of our treatments please read the aftercare sheet offered to you. after your appointment.

We will also ask you to sign and date your personalised consultation form, ( kept by the Therapist ) so that we know you fully understand what aftercare should be taken during the 24/48 hours after any treatment .

Immediately after Treatment:

Drink Water: Sip water to help your lymphatic system flush out any metabolic waste.

Take it Slowly: Remain lying down for a few minutes before slowly getting up off the Massage couch, and certainly before driving/driving. Massages can lower your blood pressure, making you feel drowsy or lightheaded.

Listen to Your Body: It is normal to feel sleepy or slightly emotional as your body releases physical tension.

The Rest of Your Day: (First 24 Hours) Hydrate Continually: Ensure you drink water throughout the remainder of the day. Avoid Stimulants & Diuretics: Try and avoid alcohol, coffee, and sugary energy drinks, as they dehydrate your body. Eat Light Meals: Stick to easily digestible, nutritious foods rather than heavy or spicy meals, which can tax your digestive system while it is trying to heal. Skip Intense Exercise: Avoid heavy lifting, aggressive stretching, or high-intensity cardio. Opt for gentle walking or light mobility if you want to move.

24-48 Hours Following Treatment: DOMS ( Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)It is quite normal to have muscle soreness sometimes following a Massage/Reflexology/Facial Treatment as muscles are worked on that may have not been worked/manipulated recently. If this should happen I advise taking over the counter medication such as Ibruprofen/Paracetamol until symptoms ease.Try, also, using an Ice pack, alternating with a hot compress such as a warm flannel to ease symptoms which should dissapate within a few days.

Please sign and date the Aftercare Advice sheet given to you after your appointment to confirm you understand the advice given to you.

Thank You
